Master's Programme in Economic Demograpy - Lund University
Lund University announces a new one-year Master's Programme in Economic
Demography beginning in August 2007. The programme provides training in
the theories, methods, and skills required to understand demographic
dynamics in both developed and developing countries. Focus is placed on
the processes underlying population change, the contexts in which these
processes originate and evolve, and the consequences of these processes.
Great importance is given to both advanced methodological training and
thematic courses in fields where members of the teaching staff are
specialized. Students in the programme include aspiring professionals
preparing for employment within fields such as governmental planning,
ministries of finance, foreign development agencies, local government,
insurance and general business as well as those preparing for entrance
to PhD programmes. Coursework will be conducted on-campus at the School
of Economics and Management, Lund University, Lund, Sweden. The
programme language is English.
